UTSB is specialist in Oil and Gas Training provider and has been in service since 2009. As we notified the demand for Oil and Gas Industry is increasing and the stake is high, Capable Development need to be in place to ensure that the nation have expertise to sustain this energy needs.
The knowledge in Exploration and Production is required by all parties involving in the industry for Operator’s Project Development, Operation, Asset Maintenance, as well as Capability Development agencies. Hence, we in UTSB aware of this need and together we Reinvented Knowledge Sharing and Transfer to contribute for above requirement.
TN. HAJI AHMAD SHUKRI B ABDUL GHANI
Discipline Expert : Production Technology
He has total cumulative 33 years of experience in Oil and Gas Industry. He started his career with ESSO in 1985 as an Offshore Production Specialist and gain numerous experience within the organization until 1998, namely as Safety Chairman and OSHA Work Place Committee. He gained, Level 4 Production Technician Certificate in 1989.
He moved to PETRONAS Carigali in 1998 as Production Line Trainer where he was involved in various field operation activities. He then, joined various consultancy service company as Technical and Marketing Manager.
In Jan 2003, he joined Institute Technology Petroleum PETRONAS (INSTEP) until 2008 as Learning Associate and now as Associate Trainer with UZIT Technology.
TN. HAJI MOHD ZAKI B AWANG
Discipline Expert : Production Technology
He has total cumulative 28 years of experience in Oil and Gas Industry.
He started his career with PETRONAS in 1990 as Petroleum Engineer, Well Service Engineer and Production Technologist until 2000. He promoted as Head Surveillance in PETRONAS Carigali Vietnam in 2000.
In 2005, he again promoted as Staff Production Technologist as appointed as Technical Professional role until June 2006. He moved to Saudi Aramco as Completion Engineer from June 2006 to July 2011.
Along the way, he is also Co-Author of various SPE papers, as well as member of SPE KL. Then, he joined Talisman Malaysia as Completion Engineer in 2011 and subsequently appointed as Staff Production Technologist in 2013 and now as Associate Trainer with UZIT Technology.
TN. HAJI HARIS B MANHAKIM
Discipline Expert : Instrumentation and Controls Engineering
Has accumulated a total of more than 32 years of working experience in Oil and Gas Business Chain i.e Development, Production and Maintenance in Upstream E&P sector, Petrochemical and in Cement Industry.
RAJA SUHAIMI B RAJA NORDIN
Discipline Expert : Mechanical Engineering (Piping)
Has more than 30 years of Solid Mechanical Piping Engineering Design and Construction Engineering Work experience for Offshore-Onshore, Refinery & Petrochemical Plant Facilities in the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Industry. Also mentoring Lecturer from ILP Miri & IKBN with Piping Drawing.
Ir. IDRIS B DUSA
Discipline Expert : Mechanical Engineering
With over 28 year’s Oil and Gas Industry experience in Malaysia, Enthusiast, Consistent Performer, with strong Project Management and technical skills, corporate exposure and proven leadership track record. Obtained a BSc (Honours) Mechanical (Offshore) Engineering from Herriot-Watt University, Edinburgh (UK) in 1981.

Over 20 years of Exploration Well Formation Evaluation, Well Completion Technology and Production Technology Experience.

17 years’ experience in Electrical & Instrumentation, Well Completion, Production and Drilling Engineering. Also have involved in developing, planning and delivering Production Technician & Engineer program for INSTEP.
ZOOL FAIRIEZ SYATEREIY B AHMAD ZUHDI
Discipline Expert : Drilling
12 years of experience in Well Engineering, Construction and Completion. Vast experience working in Offshore Drilling Operations. Excellent knowledge and skills in HPHT rank exploration, Appraisal and Development, Horizontal and ERD Wells Drilling and open hole completion.
